Nature Guide & Farming Experience
After meeting at the Kunigami Village Tourism Association, we will walk along the farm road in Okuma-Tabuku to visit “Mr. Gushiken’s” farm while observing the nature of the farmland, which is different from the forest.
Mr. Gushiken uses mainly fertilizer made from Yanbaru by-products (compost from the surrounding livestock farmers). He also farms with low pesticide use, but this is not mentioned on the vegetables he sells.
The reason, he said, is that he wants farming to be the norm. You can also hear other stories of the joys and hardships of farming in Yanbaru!
I highly recommend this special collaborative tour where you get to experience the harvest of delicious vegetables!
